MARIA CLIFF

Maria is currently Head of Operations at East West Railway Company, leading their Shadow Operator activities on behalf of the Department for Transport. She is overseeing the procurement of East West Rail’s interim rolling stock, creating the specification for the Operator of the railway and developing the end-to-end timetable for the route.

Maria’s railway career started as a First Group graduate in 2012 and she has held varied roles since, including Station and On-Train Management and Driver Depot Manager at Oxford for Great Western Railway. Prior to joining EWR Co she was responsible for the GWR/Heathrow Express portfolio and mobilised the Class 387 ETCS and 769 FLEX projects in 2018.
