Neil is an experienced and accomplished project management professional with 17 years experience in delivering high profile, complex, multi-discipline projects within challenging railway and construction environments. He started out as an apprentice fitter and undertook various roles in rolling stock engineering and then infrastructure engineering before pursuing his career in project management. He is now the Programme Director of a £700m investment programme that will transform the Tyne and Wear Metro system through the replacement of the fleet that he once used to maintain.
