ROB NEEDHAM

Rob has 30 years of experience in the rail industry and has worked for train operators, manufacturers, maintainers, consultancies & public sector transport authorities in several countries. He has worked in a variety of commercial, procurement, engineering and general management roles in complex multi-disciplinary rail projects, PPP projects and rail franchises. His experience of new train projects includes Siemens Desiro rolling stock, Waratah trains in Sydney, and Aventra trains for MTR Elizabeth Line and South Western Railway. In his current role at MTR UK he has led the specification, procurement and financing of new trains to support franchise bids.
